How to Apply
- Visit the official GATE 2027 website and register on the GOAPS (GATE Online Application Processing System) portal once it goes live on 14 August 2026.
- Fill in personal, academic and category details in the online application form.
- Upload the required documents such as photograph, signature and category/PwD certificate (if applicable) as per the specified format.
- Choose the desired test paper(s) and examination city preferences.
- Pay the application fee online through debit card, credit card, net banking, IMPS or mobile wallet.
- Submit the form and keep a printout/PDF of the confirmation page for future reference.
- Use the application rectification window (14-21 October 2026) to correct any errors in category, paper or exam city, if needed.

GATE 2027 Exam Pattern (Key Points)
- GATE 2027 will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) for 30 test papers.
- Each paper carries 100 marks - General Aptitude (GA) is common to all papers (15 marks), and the remaining 85 marks cover the respective subject syllabus.
- A new test paper, Robotics and Automation (RA), has been introduced for GATE 2027.
- The syllabi for several GATE 2027 papers have been revised, with updated XE/XH/XL paper codes.
- GATE 2027 score validity is 3 years from the date of result declaration.
