How to Apply

1. Visit the official Patna High Court website (patnahighcourt.gov.in) and open the 'Recruitments' link on the left-hand menu.
2. Fill in the online application form carefully — name, date of birth and address are treated as final once submitted; no correction is normally allowed after submission.
3. Submit the form to generate a registration number, then pay the examination fee online through the payment link.
4. After 24 hours of successful payment, log in again using the registration number and date of birth to upload a scanned photograph, signature and a handwritten declaration.
5. Submit the final application and keep a printout along with supporting certificates for later stages of the selection process.
6. Candidates who had already registered between 16 April and 25 May 2026 and need to fix errors, complete a pending fee payment, or upload documents can use the reopened window from 21 July to 28 July 2026 (document upload remains open till 30 July 2026). This reopened window does not accept new registrations.

Ratio of theory-paper marks to viva-voce is 80:20. Qualifying marks: at least 45% in each theory paper, 30% in viva-voce, and 50% aggregate in written test + viva-voce combined; a 5% relaxation applies to reserved-category candidates including women and orthopedically handicapped candidates.

• Declaration of appearance in at least 24 cases per year for the last three years
• Certified copies of any conviction/acquittal order, FIR, charge-sheet, or professional-misconduct order, if applicable

Important Notes

• The window from 21 July 2026 to 28 July 2026 is a reopening strictly for candidates who already registered/applied between 16 April 2026 and 25 May 2026 — it is for rectifying mistakes/errors in the application, completing fee payment, and uploading documents. It is NOT open for new registrations.
• Document upload for candidates using the reopened window remains available until 30 July 2026, 23:59 hours.
• Requests for refund of the examination fee have been rejected as per Clause 10(b) of the advertisement.
