Exam Pattern & OMR Marking Rules

  • Each question carries five options/circles for marking on the OMR sheet.
  • The first four options A, B, C and D correspond to the possible answers.
  • The fifth option, E, must be darkened as 'unanswered question' if the candidate does not wish to attempt that question.
  • Candidates must darken only one of A, B, C or D using a blue ballpoint pen to mark the correct answer, or darken option E if skipping the question.
  • If none of the five options is darkened for a question, one-third (1/3) of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted.
  • If more than 10% of the total questions are left without any option darkened, the candidate will be declared ineligible for that exam.
  • Candidates will get 10 extra minutes at the end of the exam specifically to ensure that one option has been marked for every question.

Warning Against Cheating and Unfair Means

RSSB has stated that strong measures are in place at exam centers to prevent cheating. Candidates are warned not to fall for fraudulent groups claiming to help with cheating, and not to act on misleading claims circulated on social media regarding the exam. As per the Rajasthan Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2022, and its amendment Act, 2023 (No. 17), anyone found involved in using unfair means or irregular activity during the exam (as defined under Section 2(f) of the Act) can face a fine ranging from Rs. 10 lakh up to a maximum of Rs. 10 crore, imprisonment ranging from 10 years up to life imprisonment, and debarment from appearing in future exams conducted by the board.
