How to Apply

1. Go to the official Union Bank of India website (www.unionbankofindia.co.in) and open the Recruitment page.
2. On the Career Overview page, click "Click to View the Current Recruitment" and open the link for "UNION BANK RECRUITMENT PROJECT 2026-27 (OFFICERS WITH DOMAIN EXPERTISE, GENERAL BANKING OFFICERS & SPECIALIST OFFICERS)".
3. Click "CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE" to open the application form.
4. Select "Click here for New Registration" and enter your name, contact details and email ID; note the system-generated Provisional Registration Number and Password.
5. Use "SAVE AND NEXT" to fill the form in stages and verify every detail carefully, since no edits are allowed after clicking "COMPLETE REGISTRATION".
6. Upload your photograph, signature and left thumb impression as per the prescribed specifications.
7. Complete the remaining application details, preview the form and click "COMPLETE REGISTRATION".
8. Open the "Payment" tab and pay the applicable application fee online.
9. Click "Submit" and save/print the system-generated application form and fee e-receipt for future reference.

Selection Process

• For posts up to Scale III: Online Examination, Group Discussion (if the Bank decides it is required), and/or Personal Interview, depending on the number of applicants.
• For posts in Scale IV, V and VI: Group Discussion (if required), any other test/assessment, and/or Personal Interview.
• The Bank reserves the right to add, cancel or modify the selection method for any notified post.
• Final merit is prepared on aggregate marks of the stages actually conducted, category-wise, in descending order up to the number of vacancies; ties are resolved in favour of the candidate senior in age (earlier date of birth).

Nationality / Citizenship

An applicant must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who migrated to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Candidates in the latter categories must hold a Government of India eligibility certificate issued before the date of this notification.

General Banking Segment - Post-wise Eligibility (Post Codes G01-G19)

Scale numerals refer to MMGS/SMGS/TEGS grade within the post; Age is as on the cut-off date 01.07.2026.

Specialized Segment - Post-wise Eligibility (Post Codes S01-S108)

Covers Forex, IT/Cybersecurity/Cloud/Data roles, Chartered Accountancy, Risk Management, Law, Architecture, Engineering, Fire Safety, Printing and IT Vendor Management posts. Age is as on the cut-off date 01.07.2026.

Salary - Additional Notes

In addition to basic pay, Special Allowance, Dearness Allowance and other allowances apply per the Bank's rules. Officers also get residential quarters/lease rent, LFC, medical/hospitalisation reimbursement and other perquisites, governed by the industry-level bipartite settlement and Joint Note applicable to bank officers. CTC may vary with location, DA changes, wage revision and Bank schemes.

Exam Pattern - Additional Notes

Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and English Language are qualifying only; marks in these do not count toward final merit. All sections except English Language are available bilingually (English and Hindi). Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for General/EWS, 35% for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD), subject to the Bank's discretion. Each wrong answer attracts a penalty of 25% of the marks assigned to that question; unattempted questions carry no penalty.

Personal Interview

The Personal Interview carries 100 marks and assesses academic and job knowledge, power of expression, clarity of thought, leadership qualities, communication skills and suitability for the post. Minimum qualifying marks: 50 for General/EWS, 45 for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD). Candidates are called for interview in the ratio of 1:3 against the number of vacancies, subject to change at the Bank's discretion.

• System-generated printout of the online application form
• Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate or SSLC/Std. X Certificate showing DOB)
• Photo Identity Proof: PAN Card, Passport, Permanent Driving Licence, Voter's Card, Bank Passbook with photo, or Aadhaar (Ration Card and Learner's Driving Licence are NOT accepted)
• Mark sheets and certificates/degree for the educational qualifications claimed
• Latest Caste Certificate in prescribed Government format (for SC/ST/OBC candidates)
• OBC Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued on or after 01.04.2026 (for OBC candidates)
• Income & Asset Certificate based on FY 2025-26, valid for FY 2026-27 (for EWS candidates)
• Disability certificate in prescribed format (for PwBD candidates)
• Scribe declaration form, if a scribe was used
• Discharge book/pension payment order (for Ex-servicemen)
• No Objection Certificate from employer (for candidates currently serving in Government/PSU/Bank)
• Experience certificate in the prescribed format (Annexure-II of the notification), issued by the Competent Authority, clearly stating the period, post held and nature of duties. Appointment letters, salary certificates and pay slips are not accepted as proof of experience.

Important Instructions

• A candidate can apply for only one post; multiple appearances for a single post at interview will lead to cancellation of candidature.
• No change of category is permitted at any stage after registration of the online application.
• Existing Union Bank of India employees may apply through proper channel (HR Department of the Regional/Zonal Office) and, if selected, must resign and rejoin the Bank's service afresh.
• Selected candidates will be on probation for 2 years of active service.
• Selected candidates for posts G01-G19 must execute a Service Indemnity Bond to serve the Bank for a minimum of 3 years, or pay Rs 2,00,000 plus applicable taxes if they leave before completing 3 years.
• Selected candidates for posts S01-S108 must execute a Service Indemnity Bond to serve the Bank for a minimum of 3 years, or pay Rs 2,50,000 plus applicable taxes if they leave before completing 3 years.
• Selected candidates can be posted at any Branch/Office of the Bank throughout India at the Bank's sole discretion.
• The Bank reserves the right to change/modify the number of vacancies, the examination structure, or to cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
• Any dispute arising out of the notification is subject to the sole jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai.
