Selection Process
- This is a provisional shortlist for the Interview/Personality Test stage only; it is not the final result.
- Candidature of shortlisted candidates remains provisional and subject to verification of eligibility on all counts, including age, educational qualification, community status, physical disability, and EWS status.
- The final result will be declared by UPSC after the Personality Test is conducted.
- A window will open in due course at upsconline.nic.in for shortlisted candidates to update details such as educational qualification status, correspondence/postal address, higher qualification, achievements, employment/service experience, service allocation, and service preferences (where applicable).
- The interview schedule will be published later on the Commission's website, and the exact date/time will also be intimated individually to each candidate.

A total of 258 candidates have qualified across all services combined; many candidates appear on more than one list as they applied for and are being considered for multiple services.
Documents Required at the Interview
- Proof of Age / Date of Birth
- Proof of Educational Qualifications
- Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC), where applicable
- EWS Certificate, where applicable
- Physical Disability Status certificate, where applicable
Candidates must bring all original certificates for verification at the time of the Personality Test.
Mark Sheet Details
Mark sheets will be uploaded on the UPSC website within 15 days of the final result, which will be declared after the Personality Test, and will remain available for 30 days from the date of upload. Candidates can access their marks by entering their Roll Number and Date of Birth. Requests for printed or hard copies of the mark sheet must be made within 30 days of the marks being displayed online, accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope; requests made after this period will not be entertained.
Important Instructions for Shortlisted Candidates
- Details updated during the online window at upsconline.nic.in are treated as final; requests for changes through any other mode will not be entertained.
- Candidates who did not have the prescribed educational qualification at the time of the online application must update their details and upload proof of passing the requisite qualifying exam, failing which they will not be allowed to appear for the Personality Test and their candidature may be cancelled.
- No request for change in interview date or time will be entertained under any circumstances.
- Candidates are advised to regularly check their registered email for further information.
- Any change of address should be notified to UPSC immediately by letter or email.
- For queries, candidates may contact the UPSC Facilitation Counter on working days between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
- Candidates should refer to the Rules of the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2026, published in the Gazette of India dated 3rd September 2025, for full certificate requirements.
